California allows the sale of cannabis for medical and adult use (recreational). Only California medical patients can shop using the medical menus, as the state doesn't offer reciprocity. Out-of-state medical patients must shop as adult-use customers.
Medical Use (In-state residents only)
- 8 ounces of dried cannabis
- 6 mature cannabis plants
- 12 immature cannabis plants
- A patient may only purchase up to their physician's recommended amount. Local jurisdictions may also allow for an increased limit
- Limit resets every 24 hours
Recreational/Adult Use (In/out-of-state residents)
- 1 ounce of cannabis flower
- 8 grams of cannabis concentrate and manufactured products (edibles and ingestibles, extracts, oils, etc.)
- 6 immature cannabis plants
- Limit resets every 24 hours
