What are the purchase limits in Ohio? – Beyond Hello

Ohio currently allows the sale of cannabis to both registered medical cannabis patients as well as non-medical cannabis consumers. They don't offer reciprocity, so only medical cards issued in Ohio are accepted. Out-of-state medical card holders will be able to shop as non-medical consumers. The state's Medical Marijuana Control Program has mandated a purchase limit for patients to abide by.

Medical Use (In-state residents only)

The patients can buy up to a 90-day supply and have an additional three 90-day refills
- The daily limits are broken down from the 90-day limit (2.83 grams of flower * 90 = 9 ounces)

Daily Limit

2.83 grams (1/10th of an oz) of plant material
295 mg of THC in patch, lotion, cream, or ointment form
110 mg of THC in oil, tincture, capsule, or edible/ingestible form for oral administration
590 mg of THC in oil for vaporization

90-Day Limit

Tier 1: No more than 8 oz of plant material
Tier 2: No more than 5 and 3/10 oz of plant material
No more than 26.55 grams of THC content in patches, lotions, creams, or ointment
No more than 9 and 9/10 grams of THC content in oil, tincture, capsule, or edible/ingestible form
No more than 53 and 1/10 grams of THC content in oil for vaporization

Terminal illness (90 days)

no more than 10 ounces of plant material
No more than 33 3/10 of THC in patches, lotions, creams, or ointments
No more than 11 and 7/10 of THC in oil, tincture, capsule, or edible
No more than 65 and 7/10 grams of THC in concentrated oils for vaporization

Non-Medical Use

Non-medical consumers may not purchase more than ten whole day units of cannabis combined across all forms per day
- For example, a non-medical consumer may purchase 1.0 ounces of plant material for vaporization OR ten units of oil for vaporization containing 590mg of THC each OR ten packages of edibles/ingestibles totaling not more than 1100mg of THC total.
