Massachusetts has a medical marijuana program and allows the sale of cannabis to adult-use (recreational) customers. Massachusetts doesn’t have any reciprocity agreements with other states. By law, only MA residents are eligible to shop using the medical menus. The purchase limits for adult-use customers and medical patients are:
- Recreational Use (In and Out of state residents)
- 28.35-gram cumulative daily allotment
- 1oz = 5g concentrates = 500mg
- Customers can purchase up to 28.35 grams a day, but only 5g of concentrates and 500 milligrams of edibles a day out of that total 28.35 g daily allotment.
- Allotments reset every 24 hours.
- One visit allowed per day, even if the customer has not met their purchase limits
- Medical Use (In-state residents only)
- Most allotments are 10oz every 60 days (rolling days).
- Temporary medical cards can allow patients to have up to 2.5oz in 14 days (until their hard copy card comes in).
- Medical purchase limits are set by the patient's physician.
- Patients’ allotments reset after the 60-day period for their total amount.
- One visit allowed per day, even if the customer has not met their purchase limits
